If your instructor has asked you to use this software,

an internal email router lets you email your audio recordings directly to your instructor.

 

This entire software package is age appropriate for adults and youth from ages nine and up.

Beginning learners as young as six to eight can use the the lesson units one through five.

 

   

  • If you are a beginning reader, learn the Hebrew alphabet in five easily mastered units.

  • Hebrew reading skills are easily acquired through learning phonetic reading of authentic Hebrew words.  New words are introduced for practice as you progress through the letters of the alphabet.

  • Practice words  are accompanied by audio with a repeat audio button and audio speed control.

  • Record yourself as you practice reading biblical passages aloud.

    •

  • Learn to correctly write each letter of the alphabet.  Use your mouse to practice drawing the letters on the screen. Learn to write both script and block letters.

    •

  • As you gain reading proficiency you can proceed to the units "Reading the Bible" and "Proverbs and Phrases from the Bible". ("Readings from the Bible" includes: readings from the Scroll of Ruth, Chapters from the Book of Kings and  the Book of Jonah and selections from the Book of Deuteronomy. )

    •

  • Learn to read selected/popular proverbial phrases. This module encompasses forty-six frequently quoted phrases from the Bible.

  • Four separate flash card units move you from learning and recognizing vocabulary words to successful memorization of the words studied. Vocabulary drills include the 1,000 most frequently used words in the bible. This includes all nouns, adjectives and verbs that appear more than 25 times in the Bible.

  • Create your own custom flashcard decks using the internal software program that lets you choose the specific vocabulary words you want to drill on.

  • You can choose to learn biblical or modern spelling of the Hebrew vocabulary words.

 

More Details:

  • When reading text from the Bible use the charts of verb paradigms to check forms you are unfamiliar with.

  • A typing program is included to give you practice in using the Hebrew Keyboard. You can choose the Israeli,  BibleWorksTM or the LogosTM  keyboard.

    •

  • Use the the drawing program to practice writing Hebrew letters and words.

  • Watch the moving arrow to learn the correct direction in which to draw the letters.

  • In flash card study  mode, each "flash card" shows a Hebrew word with its English equivalent. The Hebrew word is read aloud. Part of speech and gender are shown with each word. As you study the words in the flashcard program you can choose to "hide" the Hebrew or English words to check how well you've learned the word.

  • Step two in learning new vocabulary is using the drag and drop exercise to reinforce your memorization of the words.

  • In step three in your acquisition of biblical vocabulary the software program  enables you to check if you know the translations of the word you've learned well enough to type them in as words appear on the screen. Choose if you want to translate from Hebrew to English or from English to Hebrew. Words not yet mastered reappear in the drill.
