While colloquially we refer to
בּרכות
as "blessings", they are really statements of praise
of God. Praise for His creations and for the commandments He has given.
Learn nineteen
בּרכות,
including those chanted before and after
being called to the Torah. Accomplish two important goals:
, become familiar with the beginning lines common to
different types of בּרכות.
Audio, illustrations and text
Then, learn the
words that are unique to
each individual
בְּרָכָה
as they are taught .
As you are introduced to the vocabulary of the
בּרכות,
audio is provided to help you master the reading and
pronunciation of the text. Illustrations and explanations give you context
to what you are learning.
Each
בְּרָכָה is first taught with a simplified use of
nikkud (removing
degeshim that don't affect pronunciation, and the metheg).
You then have the opportunity to
practice reading the text with full nikkud, as the words appear in the
Siddur.
Below are some examples and short descriptions of what
you will learn.
